What is Skin resurfacing?
phformula Skin resurfacing treatments contain a unique pharmaceutical blend of active ingredients, with a patented delivery system to help the active ingredients to travel through the top layer of the skin to specifically target the deeper layer therefore creating skin rejuvenation, rather than working on the top layer of skin. This results in new skin cells forming from the inside out to give you more radiant, younger-looking skin surface without side effects or irritation.
The action of pHformula resurfacing treatments is novel and different from that of conventional peelings. Chemical peels contain acids and mainly cause skin exfoliation. pHformula allows controlled resurfacing and actively promotes the acceleration of cell regeneration in the different skin layers, while reducing skin trauma and superficial irritation.
Is it the same as chemical peeling?
Unlike peels, which need to be neutralised and removed, the pHformula skin resurfacing products are left on the skin. The phformula actives in the treatment continue to perform their action and so are not timed, neutralised or removed from the skin.
The ingredients in the resurfacing treatments are unique and contain a combination of acids, anti-oxidants, anti-inflammatory ingredients and a patented delivery system, which allows effective treatment and importantly, management of specific skin concerns with minimal downtime and minimal irritation.
What happens during treatment?
Each 60 minute treatment includes a cleanse, skin sensitivity test, resurfacing treatment with the option of adding a mask and/or micro-needling.
Different treatments can be combined in a specially-designed program with controlled strength and depth depending on what your skin needs. Each treatment can be adjusted according to your skin needs at that time.
Mini treatments are also available (30 minutes).
A minimum course of six treatments is recommended for moderate to severe skin concerns.
Is Skin Resurfacing suitable for all skin types?
phformula resurfacing treatments and home skin care products are suitable for all skin types and are for men and women.
However, it is not suitable if you have an active skin infection, open wounds, broken skin, keloid scarring, autoimmune conditions, eczema, psoriasis, raised moles, skin cancer, warts, and with certain medications.
